Pharmacists help people use medicines safely and effectively, and in diverse communities, representation helps them better understand and serve the people who rely on their care. Yet Black and Indigenous students remain underrepresented in pharmacy.
Developed with the University of Toronto’s Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, PEM helps make the pharmacy pathway more visible and supported for BIPOC secondary students.
PEM brings mentorship, community support, pharmacy simulations, and financial resources into one accessible mobile platform, helping BIPOC secondary students better understand both the profession and the steps toward entering it. Campaign touchpoints such as posters, social media, and QR codes extend that pathway beyond the app, making pharmacy easier to discover and engage with.
