Education gives children the tools to understand the world, while curiosity keeps them exploring it. When learning feels overly rigid, that exploration can turn into simple task completion.test
Owlkids is a Canada-based children’s publisher. During my internship, I worked on the Summer Special Edition, exploring how playful editorial design could create more room for curiosity within structured learning.
I used playful illustration, characters, and clear visual hierarchy to make structured activities more inviting to search, write, draw, and explore—creating space for curiosity and active participation.
